The Stirring of Fear
Within me now, a foreboding stirs-
a fear so consuming, so unbearable,
hidden deep in the recesses of my being.
It is a silent weight,
pressing inward until I am hollowed,
a vessel ready to shatter.
The world sees nothing of it,
but I feel it tearing at the edges of my soul.
I dare not move.
Even breathing feels forbidden.
Though my lungs burn for air,
this pressure - this invisible vice -
holds me still.
I have eyes, yet I do not see.
The darkness here is suffocating,
clinging to my skin,
smothering all light,
pressing down like the weight of an unending night.

The Woman I Cherish
On this special day,
I need to tell you what I see in you—
the essence of all that is beautiful,
all that is cherished,
all that makes life worth living.
And today, I want you to know,
without hesitation,
what an extraordinary woman you are.
In you, there is a love
that men spend lifetimes searching for—
a love steadfast and true,
devoted to family,
devoted to the man you hold dear.
In you, there is a kindness
that softens even the hardest heart,
loyalty that stands unwavering,
a gentleness that reaches into the depths of the soul.
In your presence, a man finds peace,
a serenity that silences the chaos of the world.
In your arms, he feels love so complete,
it fills every corner of his being,
